EQUITY EDUCATORS

Michelle Bierman has over 15 years of experience working in diversity and inclusion. Ms. Bierman has led professional development both nationally and locally for school districts, government organizations, and businesses. She works for St. Paul Public Schools as an assistant principal for Murray Middle School. Previously, Ms. Bierman was the Director of the Office of Equity at Saint Paul Public Schools in the Office of the Superintendent as well as the Assistant Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development for the district. She holds a license in School Administration from the University of Minnesota, a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies from Minnesota State University. Ms. Bierman presents and facilitates trainings both locally and nationally on racial equity policy, research based instructional strategies, culturally responsive pedagogy, and systemic institutional inequities. She is also an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State University.
